…you start hunting through the closet for those warm, thick socks to keep your feet cosy around the house πŸ˜‰

When do you know autumn has arrived?

  1. I know Autumn has arrived when we begin to open the windows during the day to warm the house up and shut them at night to hold the heat in. Total reverse of the summer routine.
Also I start using the oven again because it make the kitchen nice and warm.

  2. There is a certain crisp feel to the air, even in the sunshine. And we are surrounded by pear and apple orchards. I swear we can smell the windfall fruit in every breeze, with a faint background scent of wood smoke. Also, we know it is fall when we get invited to local, outdoor cider pressing parties. πŸ˜ƒ
