Using Tarot Cards To Receive Answers From Your Spirit Guides

I believe everybody has their own spirit guides. Whether they come in the form of guardian angels, your own higher consciousness or separate energies such as ancestors, reiki guides or deity is entirely up to you to decide.

Some time ago I found having a scientific brain made the of concept of believing I was able to talk directly to my guides quite difficult to accept. I thought if I did (or was trying to do so) that it could well be just my imagination and that the answers received were therefore not reliable enough to be taken seriously. I needed another way.

I have a few tarot decks which I have bought myself or that other people have bought for me for special occasions. I had been starting to learn the tarot for use with the Kabbalah and for self improvement purposes only as I wasn’t that keen on using them for divination as such. I prefer to make my own future and always hope that I do a better job than some of my past decisions. I believe that the future is a fluid, changing wave and therefore any type of fortune telling is a bit of a waste of time. This is just my opinion, based on my energy work, and I am happy for people to disagree with me 🙂

I had a particular deck of cards my partner had bought for me. I couldn’t seem to get these cards to work for me in the usual way I used them. The cards were shuffled and dealt as normal but never seemed to deal with the matter at hand. I was very disappointed as I loved the look of them and had asked him specifically to buy these ones for me but now I couldn’t gel with them.

One day I had got the pack out to try again and I idly shuffled them as I pondered a difficult family matter, my mind drifting off the task at hand and on to more personal matters…happens to all of us! As my mind mulled over the problem a card flew out of the pack. Instead of thinking myself clumsy and putting it straight back in the deck I felt compelled to give it a closer look. What I found was exact guidance to my family matter. Curiosity compelled me to carry on. I talked about the problem as if talking to a friend out loud and asked for two more cards to fall out. These came as I talked and the three cards together gave me the guidance I needed.

Of course, I tried this several times after that. I would sit and talk fluently out loud about a problem or situation and the cards would fall out as necessary.  They have never been wrong since and I now use this particular deck all the time as my own special thread between myself and my spirit guides. It is a great comfort and extra special as my partner bought them for me.

You don’t have to know how to read tarot cards to use them to communicate with your spirit guides.

To start with you can use the guide book to look up the meanings and write each session up in a journal so you can look back on the situation, and the insight given, another time. As you go forward you may find your intuition allows you to decide what each card means for you personally. The interpretation in the book which comes with the deck is the interpretation of the decks creator but it is not cast in stone and you may find the meanings change for you. This is perfectly okay. You can meditate on the cards individually without a question and answer session to decide their meaning for you and write this up in your journal or you can simply let nature and determination take its own natural course and let their meanings make themselves known as you go along.

There is never an incorrect way in spirituality and your path is your own…always and without reservation.

The advice you get through the tarot will always be helpful when it comes from a place of unconditional love. Before the start of each session it would be sensible to visualise yourself in a crystalline egg, surrounded by white light. Set your intention at the start of the session for the work ahead and ask your spirit guides to come through with unconditional love, protection and advice for your highest good.

Your guides will always give loving advice and will never tell you to do something which you find uncomfortable. Neither will they mind if you don’t follow their guidance. Everything is your choice and you are always in control.

Try this for yourself and let the answers you seek flow freely, in trust that the help is there whenever you need it.

Red Apophyllite

This piece of clear, red and green Apophyllite has been with me for a little over a month now and has been a real pleasure to work with.

It gives off a really palpable, strong energy which everyone who has held it has remarked upon, even those who aren’t earth energy minded. There is just a power to it which buzzes in the hand and it is a truly extraordinary piece. I would say it is on par with my Lemurian Seed Crystal for energy output and there is something ‘otherworldly’ about it too.

Apophyllite is also called the Reiki crystal as it is said its effect is similar to a Reiki treatment. I can certainly vouch for its healing energy which is very powerful. This crystal can chase away the darkest of days and brings joy and peace when held. When I have worked with it for longer I shall start to use it in my long distance healing work along with my Lemurian Seed Crystal and my Amethyst cluster as I feel this is the way it wishes to be worked with.

Apophyllite is a stone of truth and it is said it will help you see the truth of any matter more clearly. It is usually clear or green so it is unusual to find a piece with this red hue to it. It is simply the result of minerals near the crystal being absorbed into it as it is forming and it makes a unique crystal. The photos really don’t do this particular crystal aesthetic justice…the clear, green and red sparkly formations on their igneous matrix is really delicate and beautiful up close. I am pretty certain the matrix is basalt (giving strength, courage and fanning the fire within!), which hardens into a vesicular texture (similar to a pumice stone in appearance) and so this crystal is very light in weight too. It needs very careful handling as the crystal can flake and the matrix is very fragile. Don’t drop it!

Apophyllite can be worked with when seeking knowledge of spirit guides or power animals. It can clear a room of negativity and your aura too and is a perfect stone to have in the bedroom to help encourage a decent night’s sleep.  It is said to be a crystal which can heal family rifts, encourage togetherness and lift the vibrational energy of any room it is placed in. A stone of high vibration, it can be used to cleanse other crystals and can be easily cleansed itself by waving it through a wisp of incense and voicing your intention to cleanse it.

If you are a healer then I recommend getting a piece of this and experimenting with it. I feel it has great potential to significantly enhance my personal spiritual work and I am just about ready to jump in and see just how good these vibes really are 🙂

A Reindeer Is Not Just For Christmas

I have had an interest lately in British shamanism and Elen of the Ways (I wear a stone necklace for her with a picture of a ‘cave art style’ deer on it) so I have decided to talk about Reindeer today.

I have always had an affinity with deer as my grandfather was a man of the land and he and my grandmother would take me on walks in woods where deer would often make themselves known. A few months ago, my partner and I were lucky enough to come almost face to face with a beautiful stag near an ancient wood we visit locally. This sealed the deal for me. I have bought a couple of books since about Elen of the Ways by Elen Sentier which have been of great interest – Elen of the Ways and Following The Deer Trods which give an interesting glimpse into British Shamanism.

In the days before land and animal ownership, when man, woman and child moved with the herds, the people worshipped the Goddess of the animal that kept them alive. They worshipped her spirit and respected her laws. In return, they were fed, and their own young were given life and sustenance. This was a time when all the land and that which was on it was held in high regard. It was a time when the balance of life and death between all things was weighted equally. For these people, she (who we call Elen for the purpose of this story) was the spirit of the reindeer and it is to she herself whom we now look to experience the energy and medicine of the reindeer.

Reindeer gave those who followed her strength and stamina. She also gave social skills for she travels with her family and friends en masse, all heading towards and onwards. Yet there is no dependence on the others as she is also her own heart and at peace with herself.

Reindeer encourages those who are faltering to regroup and move forward. She gives the determination to succeed and the tenacity to get things accomplished. Determination, endurance and trusting one’s own instincts are also gifts given by reindeer.

When you feel stuck and directionless, reindeer, as a power animal, will show you what you need and share with you her gifts to get you there.

The Reindeer Clans used kulning (a Swedish herding call) to call to the herd. A shaman female would use this song to call forth the reindeer (or other animal or bird she was working with) to let them know she was there. A beautiful example of kulning can be heard being given by Jonna Jinton on YouTube. It is one of the most beautiful things I have heard. There is something very primal about it which touches my soul.

There is a fascinating site called which gives lots of information on reindeer herding, as well as a history for each region.

Various Upper Paleolithic and Mesolithic Northern European and Asian peoples performed reindeer sacrifices. The ritual was performed at the beginning of their hunting season and consisted of sacrificing a young doe in a lake or pond or burying it in the ground as a sacrifice to their chosen god. On special occasions, Mesolithic hunters would place the skull and antlers of an older reindeer on a pole at the edge of where the doe was sacrificed. Superstition and the need for sacrifice has always been rife in all cultures, ancient and some more modern, so this behaviour is not unusual, despite being so difficult to read about for some of us in these modern times.

Reindeer shamanic rituals have been carried out as recently as 1980 by the Evenki people of Northern Siberia. The ritual centres around the belief that –

“Reindeer were created by the sky god, Houki, not only to provide food and transport on Earth but also to lift the human soul up to the Sun”

From Piers Vitebsky’s book, The Reindeer People: Living With Animals and Spirits in Siberia.

Bronze aged peoples thought there was an association between reindeer and flying which we can see by their use of Reindeer Stones. These were found above graves or places of sacrifice, with images of reindeer with their necks outstretched and their legs out as if flying through the air. There antlers are like wings and go as far back as their tails. The disc of the Sun was also present, again giving an impression of skyward travel.

Reindeer amulets have also been found in herding regions and the Sami had depictions of reindeer on their dress, pendants and brooches too. Zoomorphs of reindeer were drawn by Sami people who lived along the coast of Northern Norway 10,000 years ago.

Mjandasj was the primordial Sami ancestor who was half reindeer and half human and birthed by Máttaráhkká herself who was known as the Sami Earth Mother. Rock art depicting the birth of this ancestor was found on a wall in Russia on the Kola Peninsula and has been dated to 2000 – 800BC.

If Máttaráhkká is the Sami equivalent of the Earth Mother then it wouldn’t be a stretch to argue that, by the Sami at least, reindeer are considered to have been present at the very birth of life itself. Perhaps this is because, to them, reindeer were givers of life providing all they needed to survive the harsh arctic conditions.

The Perfect Meditation For You!

When I first started meditating I found using guided meditations to be the best way to begin. Even now, especially when feeling a little weary, I will use a guided meditation rather than relying on my tired mind to keep the rhythm and flow going.

There are a few things which I wanted to start working on for self-improvement and none of my current guided meditations were ticking all the boxes so I thought why not record one myself? This was surprisingly easy to do as my iPod (it’s old but it still works!!) has a voice recorder on it. All I had to do was read from a self-penned script and fill in the blanks with what I felt was needed. I used rose quartz for unconditional love and black obsidian for protection as my two crystal companions for this meditation. Both strong and uncomplicated crystals which do what they are supposed to do.

This is my basic outline –

  • Take a deep breath in for the count of four, hold for a count of four, out for a count of five. Do this cycle three times.
  • If you need extra help with relaxing then you could talk yourself through tensing and relaxing your body in sections from your toes to head as you wish.
  • Visualise a TV screen in your mind, see and mentally count down each number from 12 to 1.
  • Do a protection exercise here such as imagining being encased in a spinning pyramid of golden light which deflects anything which is not for your highest good. Ask for the protection of your spirit guides and helpers who love you unconditionally. They will come at your invitation even if you are not aware of them yet.
  • Here is the place in the meditation where you will state your intentions, say your positive affirmations, talk with your spirit guide or whatever else is the purpose of your meditation.
  • When that is done and you feel the tasks are completed it is time to ground yourself. Visualise a column of light coming up from the ground and exiting out of the top of your head. See the healing energy coming up from the Earth and send that energy to every part of you from head to toe. Healing, soothing and cleansing your core and your soul. Scan your body mentally and put any heaviness, tightness or emotion which no longer serves you into the column of light, sending it into the Earth to be cleansed and neutralised. Then reverse the energy back down into the Earth and visualise sending roots from your feet down into the centre of the Earth to anchor you and keep you connected to the soil and Mother Earth.
  • Next count yourself up from 1 to 12, seeing each number on the TV screen as before. Then wiggle your feet, stretch your body, open your eyes and bring yourself back into the room.

You will notice there is quite a bit of time spent on cleansing and body housekeeping, as it were. I think it is worth it when undergoing any meditation. This is your quiet time, your time to regroup and relax whilst working on those things your spirit craves you to find peace and closure on. Make the most of it and do a little spring cleaning whilst you are in the right frame of mind and place to do it.

It is very important to ground yourself when meditating. I choose to do it whilst still relaxed and in the meditative state because I feel at my strongest then and I know I am completely focused on the task at hand and will therefore be more successful. Intention is everything. Do everything in a way which you feel is the right way for you. There is no right or wrong way as long as all the ingredients are there somewhere. If it doesn’t feel right for you one way then try another.

I followed my above pattern and I now have a 30 minute mediation to use daily which is specific to my needs. I can tailor it again to whatever my needs might be in the future just by altering the portion of the script above in italics to reflect this and re-recording it at any time. The more often I use the meditation the easier it will be and the more successful the outcome.

As you read above, I enhanced my energy field with crystals. I lit a patchouli, cinnamon and sandalwood incense stick to connect to the Earth and sipped an infusion of catnip and lemon balm tea before the meditation. I do these rituals routinely to focus my mind and enhance the experience. Everything in its place.

Easy, hey? And not as daunting as you might first have imagined. Keeping it simple but direct and tailored just for you.

You can use this meditation in times of stress, anxiety, worry or uncertainty. I hope some of you in America will find it particularly useful today. Written with my love and all my hopes.

Many Blessings!

Spiritual Guidance

This year has seen me make wonderful progress with my spirit guides. I always knew there was spiritual guidance around me but I had a particular type of contact with them. This has always been because I don’t feel comfortable having direct verbal communication with spirit.

My communications with my guides tend to be pictorial and emotional – fast paced images which give the whole story quickly and efficiently accompanied by the appropriate emotion. My empath side works in the same way in my day to day life. It is quite an exhausting way of communicating as it is very involved emotionally rather than given as a detached, verbal communication but it is my choice and how I asked for it to be. I feel their presence and personality, that is how I know they are there, and each is unique. A daydream but with more substance and meaning, is the best way I can think to describe an encounter.

This summer I learnt the names of two of my spirit guides – one male and one female – after I decided I wanted to learn a little more. Strangely it didn’t seem that important to know their names before and I was just used to them being there but this year I just felt the need to know. I am really glad I did find out as it makes the contact even more real for me rather than still being able to leave it all in the ‘possibly all in my imagination’ arena and playing it safe and scientifically sound 🙂

I have three everyday spirit guides. One is a beautiful but ancient woman who has a no nonsense feel to her, one is a young boy who is a rebel and just a little sarky sometimes and the other is an elemental who is joy and laughter. These three could easily be the three strongest parts of my personality but I have come to accept them as separate to me and I give them due respect. The woman is very much in the forefront and her name is the female one I was given this year. Rather strongly given in the end because at one point I still wasn’t sure (ever the doubting one!).

As an aside, all this doubt and wanting proof keeps my feet firmly on the ground in my spiritual work. I think this is a good thing. I have complete faith that the energy work I do works for the highest good of the person receiving it but I am also wise enough to know I am merely a channel for the energy and not some powerful being who is superior to other people. The worse thing someone who works with energy can do is believe they are more than they are. Delusion can lead the unwitting down many unpleasant roads.

My joy elemental has a lot to answer for and I am pretty much convinced my inappropriately timed humour and love of the ridiculous comes from them. Humour has seen me through many a challenge and I welcome its presence, even when it does get me some strange looks.

I also know a man has been around me since I was a little girl, way before I knew of his significance. I learnt his name this year too. He has two women standing with him sometimes – this is my team of healers and they allow me to help others to the best of my ability through my energy work. I am instinctively able to choose crystals, aromatherapy and symbols to heal and replenish others and I have always just seemed to know how to do these things. I believe I have these particular guides to thank for these valuable skills.

Another team I regularly give thanks to is my Reiki team of healers and those who are representative of other healing systems I use too. I feel very much heard when I indicate where I would like distance healing sent and there is always a feeling of teamwork, love and satisfaction.

Recently I have been looking at connecting with any animal guides I might have. I would say the Stag, the Magpie, the Snake and the Raven all have important roles in my life. Interestingly there has also been a polar bear who has been visiting me often in my meditations lately.

What is your take on spirit guides? Do you have any and how do you communicate with them?

Celestite or Celestine is a delicate pale blue colour, like a chunk of cooling sea ice glinting on the southern seas.

I was lucky enough to find this gorgeous sample in a crystal shop a few miles from me. It has crystals on both sides of a thin matrix and looks incredible when a light is shone through it.

Celestite is said to be a high vibration stone which in this case means its energy may help you connect with those on a higher vibration such as guardian angels and those of pure light. It is also said to help with psychic development, which kind of makes sense. I would suggest using a protective stone as well such as Black Obsidian or Black Tourmaline when working with Celestite. Program your chosen protective stone and put it between your feet to keep you grounded and in your protected space*.

I like to have this stone as a correspondence companion in my lap when using anything angel related such as oracle cards. Its light blue colour means it is perfect for use with the throat chakra and communication so I use it on my throat chakra when meditating if I would like some advice on a problem and would like some insight from spirit.

It is said this is a perfect stone for counteracting night time ruminations. When your mind is turning and you can’t sleep you may find the energy of this stone works well to bring about a calmer mind and crystal clear thinking. It is also said to enhance dreams and I have had a couple of quite vivid dreams when I have experimented with this.

In my experience Celestite calms, soothes and gives clear thinking. It’s energy is gentle and divine. I cleanse this stone with sound energy and then put it on my windowsill a couple of hours before the sun goes down until the next morning to charge it. It should not be left in full sunlight.

Even sitting here with it now in my lap as I write about it I can feel its calming energy wash over me. It is actually making me rather too mellow for so early in the day, time for it to go back where it lives 🙂

* I imagine a spinning pyramid of pure white light around me when doing any sort of deeper, spiritual work. This pure, white light around my aura will only let positive energy of unconditional love enter my aura field and keeps any negative energy away. If you do use this stone to try and contact your guardian angel then do remember that anything you perceive from them will be positive in nature. Your true guardian angel will not speak to you in a negative way, they will not tell you to do anything especially anything which feels uncomfortable or wrong to you. Use your intuition and if it feels wrong then it is. If this happens then reaffirm your protective pyramid of light (or whatever method you are using) and come back to your space of pure light and positivity, blasting away any negativity mentally. Those who truly look out for us in the spiritual realm do so with unconditional love. Always.

Sometimes the daily stresses in life can seem a little hard to cope with. When that sort of thing is going on I mentally transport myself to some special places in my imagination during meditation (or even sometimes just for a Waterfall moment) and take a breather. Below are some of my favourite places I can escape to at my leisure.

The Waterfall Moment

This is where I go when I need to remember patience and tolerance. For those days when I am facing belligerent, antagonistic people. I totally immerse myself in the smells, sights and sounds of my waterfall and the surroundings. I feel the oxygenated breeze on my face from the waterfall as it cascades down the moss covered rock into the glistening pool of clear water beneath it. I hear the birds sing. I reach out to touch a twig on a branch and I feel the ground beneath my feet, centering me and bringing back my balance. Then I come to and realise I no longer feel any murderous urges and, if I am really lucky, the person in front of me will have run out of breath… 😉

The Tropical Beach Moment

This is where I go to chill out with one of my spirit guides who is Caribbean in energy and likes to hang here. Yes, he has dreadlocks. He doesn’t say much on our walks and instead communicates in feelings and pictures but I always get the point. When you are comfortable enough not to make small talk? Yep that’s it.

The Forest Moment

When I need to feel closer to nature and the Green Man then this is where I can be found. Life gets busy and sometimes too long has passed since I was last out under the trees. This is where I go to get a little of that comfort back again. The forest revitalises me and makes me feel alive. This is a place of tactile interaction where all my senses come into play during meditation and where the dappled sun comes through the trees and warms me.

The Divine Moment

This is where I first go to meet my Goddess in meditation. It is a place which initially looks like the Moon. Darker, colourless, barren, deep inside myself. A place of sanctity and no distractions. Fear not. The Eye of the Sun soon looks down on me and everything is illuminated, good and pure. A golden light which soothes and guides me on my journey to the places She wishes me to travel. It is peaceful and holds a feeling of unconditional love and kindness. I am safe and secure.

Where do you go on your travels?

Sleeping Humanity

We have all heard of myths and legends. Stories of ancient times when heroes fought dragons, a great flood wiped out mankind as they had become corrupted and magicians wove the ether to name a few. Could there be some truth to these tales and what can they teach us?

Many myths and legends have warnings behind them. Stories passed down to tell of great deeds or dark times, usually both. Every indigenous culture (as well as the well-known bibilical story) has a tale of a Great Flood. A flood which wiped out most of mankind and which is now seen (depending on whom you ask) as an event caused by a divine being because of human corruption, the effect of a ‘planet changing’ catastrophe from space such as an asteroid or simply the end of the last Ice Age where melting ice resulted in planet-wide raised sea levels. Maybe it was a bit of all three, nobody really knows. But it happened and the world changed as the people knew it.

In times gone by it seemed to be easier to have direct access to your chosen God and all manner of spirits and elemental beings. It was more acceptable to have visions, premonitions, sightings and one-on-one conversations…as long as you were careful not to annoy the wrong people in which case…well, history speaks for itself, with Socrates being a fine example. Go back in time further still and it seems it was expected that more mystical experiences would happen. It appears to have been part of normal life, welcomed by all.

Angels fought side by side with the victors of war – which could just be the victor’s way of saying the right people won in their opinion and their God was on their side. None of us were there to see this in action, so who knows? The people didn’t just win on their own merit, they always talked of the help they received. Just as the magician was often seen to be in touch with darker forces and the wise woman burnt as a witch despite having helped to safely deliver the accuser’s perfect baby a few months before or cured the village by handing out medicinal herbs.

So why is our society often so intolerant these days to stories of encounters with angels and spirits? Is it simply because it is no longer the norm to have these encounters because human beings are more concerned with matter than spirit? Or is it because it is just seen as in the imagination because it can’t be proved? Where are the myths from 100 years ago, why are they all in the distant past?

I lean towards the theory that many people largely ignore their more spiritual side in favour of matter – the material side. Science is the accepted discipline these days. Everything must be proven beyond question or it does not exist and does not ‘matter’. I think the people who take this view so strictly are missing out on a valuable resource…their own spirit or soul, if you like, and the ability to experience greater knowledge of self and the world around them. The ability to taste an experience to its full flavour rather than just eating mindlessly. To live just as our ancestors did when they were one with the land, seasons, the cosmos and Mother Earth. Never taking more than they needed to survive and respecting the land which fed their families. The world at large has lost this attitude and really needs to get it back.

I can’t prove Reiki works but I have seen that it does. If it is the placebo effect then so be it, it does it for me and many others. A person who feels better for it isn’t complaining either and why would they? If I want an internal conversation with myself and feel I get guidance from my higher self or spirit guides by a ‘feeling’ that doing or not doing something is the right course and this is proven to be right, then so be that too. I hold a crystal and feel energised by it in a certain way and the result is a positive interaction which enhances my life…I can work with that. This list could easily go on. I believe everyone can engage with this side of themselves. Is this an inheritance we simply forgot about? I believe it is.

I personally get a lot out of embracing my spiritual side – comfort, happiness, a second opinion, useful interaction, inner peace and more. I am happy and grateful to embrace the old ways and work with nature’s gifts of plants, crystals, stones, trees and the universal energy. The journey of self-discovery I have made in the last twenty years or so has made me a different person. It has softened my edges, helped me grow as an individual and given me something special to believe in and work with, for myself and many others. It’s given me powerful tools to help myself and not to sit waiting for something to intervene and do it for me. Not power over others but self-empowering myself.

With yoga, meditation and mindfulness finally getting the recognition they deserve there may be hope word will spread and everyone will start to look inside of themselves and around themselves for spirit instead of outside at matter and the latest material possessions.

I read an article recently which said some schools in the UK and USA are now including meditation for the children in their teaching day.

I really love that *loud applause*

This gives me hope.

Quartz Cluster and…Spirit Guides

Everyone loves a quartz cluster! It seems to be fairly normal for people to buy one of these, or a quartz point as one of their first crystals (and rightly so as quartz is a fabulous first crystal companion) but, in fact, this is my 66th crystal! I had been searching for the right one and picked up this beauty in a local shop which has a single cabinet with some very special crystals within. The owner hand picks every piece and displays for our viewing pleasure. Just the type of place to go when you are first starting out as there is nothing more daunting than going to a designated crystal shop with hundreds of crystals.

I went on my first visit to one of these designated shops in Summer 2015 and, even with a years experience under my belt (and several Mind, Body and Spirit fairs and tense bidding on eBay!), I was pretty overwhelmed by the choice on offer. Great if you know what you want for the selection of individual crystal types alone but if you are a newbie you can come out with the sparkly crystal which caught your eye and leave behind the one which might have captured your heart. It’s a good idea to do some research online beforehand and go in with a list rather than taking a chance of buying something you don’t need at that point.

There will always be ‘another’ crystal but, in my experience, working with one at a time is the best way to really let a new sparkly being into your life and get to know it on a personal level. Meditating with one crystal every day for a couple of weeks will give you a good insight in to how you feel about it and what it can do to help you personally. Of course there are plenty of books on the subject and there is no harm in picking one up to get a starting point (and ideas for that all important list when first starting out) but crystals work with the individual and what a particularly crystal does for one person isn’t necessarily what one of its brothers or sisters will do for you. As I have said earlier, I have a fairly decent collection of crystals already but I haven’t worked with all of them yet. When choosing one to work with I let my intuition guide me and then I simply spend some time with it. If possible I carry it around with me, play with it idly when I am catching up something on the TV and, of course, it is with me through every meditation.

On the day I bought this particular quartz cluster I had a choice of five types of quartz in front of me. I held each one of them for a few minutes to connect with their energies and, as soon as I held this beauty, I knew I had found ‘The One’.

This Quartz cluster from Brazil is, for me, rather a power house for accessing spirit guides. I found a video on YouTube by offering a meditation to connect with your spirit guides and, for me, it worked.

I used headphones for the meditation and placed the cluster on my forehead. I also put a piece of Blue Calcite at my throat (blue stones are said to be good for communication if placed on the throat chakra) and held a Smoky Quartz cluster (said to ground the user) in my hands over my solar plexus chakra. I then protected myself by envisaging a white light all around me to keep the negative energy out and I was good to go. As the 30 minute session progressed I had the best session ever in my numerous attempts over the last year to access my spirit guides in form rather than energy. When the meditation got to the part of meeting my guides I waited for the nothingness of facial form which usually greets me and was fairly resolved to it not working but I was pleasantly surprised this time and it gave me food for thought. An in-depth topic for another time, perhaps?
